Justice is far from us,
and righteousness does not reach us;
We wait… for light, and lo! there is darkness;
… for brightness, but we walk in gloom.
From Isaiah 2
The people who have walked in darkness
have seen a great light.
They that dwell in the land in the shadow of death
Upon them the light has shined.
